Fist Cup of Coffee

Going keto tomorrow, practicing having coffee now…first one in decades. Made with my new Ninja brewer and in a cup from the Denver Nature & Science Museum.

Cup of coffee

Update: In case you were wondering, being from New England, here is what I brewed for my first cup.

Dunkin’ Donuts all the way…no Starbucks…yuck, yuck, yuck. 🙂

Back to Keto on Tuesday

So, I really need to diet, before I gain a ton more weight. So, on Tuesday I am going back to keto…using this site to assist me:

I’ll weigh in on Tuesday…

P.S. Why am I waiting until Tuesday? Because I take medication that reduces water retention, and I forgot to take it this weekend. So, if I start tomorrow, then my first day weight loss will be skewed high.

Oh, and I just started reading this tonight (it pointed me to the Diet Doctor):

Liar, Lunatic, or Lord

Happy Sunday everyone!

This quote from Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis came to mind during church Bible study today (as Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the power of Satan):

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

Something to ponder. Blessings all!
