Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Michelle and I were able to visit the Denver Museum of Nature & Science today. Awesome place. The majority of the photos are from The Art of the Brick display.
This Week’s Favorite Memes
This week’s favorites…
Yeah, trying to mostly avoid political ones as usual, it was a bit light for favorites this week…

Capricious Religion
Morality disconnected from religion is unanchored.
Or, would it be fair to describe it as its own capricious religion?
Saturday Morning Breakfast
Okay, it’s really brunch, or almost lunch, at this point…
Simple Teachings of Christ and Big Lies
Accept the teaching of Christ as it is, clear and simple; then you will see that we live among big lies.
A Good Attitude in the Morning…
You can make a decision to have a good attitude, but if you don’t make plans to manage that decision every day, then you are likely to end up right back where you started. But here’s the good news: maintaining the right attitude is easier than regaining the right attitude.
How do you do that? A Chinese proverb I came across gives insight: “Assume a cheerfulness you do not feel, and shortly you feel the cheerfulness you assumed.” Or as editor and publisher Elbert Hubbard says, “Be pleasant until 10 a.m. and the rest of the day will take care of itself.” When you get up in the morning, you need to remind yourself of the decision you’ve made to have a positive attitude. You need to manage your thinking and direct your actions so that they are consistent with your decision.

“Shallow”
Well, if I am going to post YouTube videos, this is one of my all-time favorites. The love Ralph and Jocylen Saenz have for each other is inspiring:
Okay, one more…another one of my all-time favorites (who knew a coin toss would lead to this?): Read More
“Drinkee” by Sofi Tukker
This is the video that turned me on to this talented, fun group…
And, they are actually willing to smile. 🙂
Why I Am Up Too Late
No, that’s not me. Too much hair. But dad and son hang out on Friday nights, and son’s friend started gaming with him late. 🙂
Dad isn’t gonna make it much longer though…

Why I left Big Tech Social Media
Nibbles Ninja is part of the way I’m dealing with not having Facebook and Twitter as outlets. Here is why I left them:

Welcome
This is the first post on Nibbles Ninja. I am Alan Fahrner, and I’ll use this site (generally) to post quick thoughts, quotes, etc.
“Nibbles.”
This is the symbol for Nibbles Ninja:
Healthy dialogue is balanced and colorful. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a worldview and perspectives affected by it, but it does mean I value you and your views, even if they differ.
And who knows, if you are interested and believe in balance too, you may become an author on the Nibbles Ninja too.
Love,
Alan
P.S. By “healthy dialogue is…colorful,” I do not mean foul language. Instead, views should be like a palette of many hues, tints, tones, and shades instead of an echo chamber.
